Welcome to St. John

People matter to Jesus and so you will be welcomed here to experience an enthusiastic church family, centered in the transforming love of God in Christ's cross and resurrection.

Come with your struggles, doubts, fears, hurts, and messy past to share the power of God's mercy and forgiveness.  We welcome all without exception, no matter where you are on life's journey.

We celebrate the new life we have in our Lord through Spirited worship, discipleship and growth, friendship, fellowship and fun, witness and serving.

We affirm the unchanging, historic truths of the Christian faith (including the Apostles' Creed and Nicene Creed as well as our UCC Statement of Faith), value the insights of the Protestant Reformers, and apply God's Word (the Good News of Jesus Christ) to the realities of our life and world today.

We are a congregation with a broad commitment to serve those in need in our community and world and actively support many human care and evangelistic ministry organizations.

This Sunday's Worship  May 22 & 29, 2022

The Easter season continues the "high point" of the Christian life and worship and of the Church year. As we celebrate the victory of Jesus over the powers of evil, sin, injustice, and even death, we know that this is God's great gift to ALL who have entrusted themselves to Jesus as their Savior and Lord. Here is our assurance of eternal life, of peace with God, of hope and courage even for the rough times of life in a broken world.

On May 22 (ONE SERVICE 10:30 am only) is our St. John MUSIC SUNDAY featuring our various musical groups (Chancel Choir, Children's Choir, Heavenly Chimes, Jubilee Ringers, Band/Brass, Sunday School Children).  Enjoy this celebration of praise.

On May 29 (8:00 and 10:30 am) we will observe the Ascension of our Lord (actually May 26th) with a Service of the Word featuring a skit/drama as the message.  The title is ENCOUNTERING THE RISEN CHRIST--IN HIS REIGN.

On June 5, we will have our first OUTDOOR SERVICE at 9:00 am (first Sunday of each month during the summer months) commemorating the outpouring of the Spirit on the DAY OF PENTECOST.

Be blessed as we share the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ who comes to us even today in his Word and Sacraments. BRING YOUR FAMILY AND YOUR FRIENDS...we all need some love.
