Kelly began her service with St. John in October 2023. Church Office Administrators hold things together. She is the one to coordinate use of the building, keep administrative records, prepare publications, including Sunday's bulletin and the monthly newsletter, field telephone calls, refer individuals to the appropriate Ministry of the congregation or staff person, and coordinate orders and invoices.

Gene serves St. John with dedication and coordinates room arrangements, handles janitorial and maintenance duties, lawn care, snow shoveling, and many repairs.
He can give you excellent practical advice about any aspect of St. John's

Will Layman
Director of Jubilee Ringers (Handbell Choir) and
Director of Children's Choir
William D. Layman is a member of St. John Church and became Handbell Choir Director in December 2021. He has re-established a Children's Choir as part of his ministry in our church. Will is completing his Bachelor's degree in Music Education Student at SIU-Edwardsville.

Catherine has had a rich and varied career in the field of music. She has a Doctor of Music Arts degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Colorado and is an Adjunct Faculty member at Greenville (IL) University. Dr. Burge has served as accompanist, organist and keyboard person in many settings throughout the world and is also an accomplished clarinetist. She gives private lessons and works with the Belleville and Centralia IL Philharmonic Orchestras (among others). She also accepted the position of Director of Chancel Choir in December 2021

Tom is our bookkeeper. He handles the financial transactions under the direction of the congregation, Church Council, and Treasurer. He and a team of volunteers confidentially handle contributions. He also receives our annual financial pledge cards but does not divulge their content to anyone. Contact Tom through the church office 618 / 566.7311.
Andy is a life long member of St. John, an accomplished Brass player (trumpet, flugelhorn, cornet, etc.) and has directed our Brass ensembles, band, and other instrumental ensembles. He has been an official part of our church staff since 2018 and our Coordinator of Music since August 2019.
